The Most Boring Activities Revealed

Posted by siteadmin on Wednesday 21st November 2018.

I recently came across a report that listed fifty of the World’s most boring activities. They included waiting in line at the Post Office, watching party political broadcasts and even listening to Sir Bob Geldof or Bono giving a lecture.

There was also space for waiting in a Doctor’s surgery, filling in tax returns and buying socks. Traffic jams, train delays and Alan Titchmarsh also all made the boring hall of fame!

Nowhere to be found in the boring list was financial planning. Despite that I was asked recently by someone if financial planning ‘is as boring as it sounds’.

Far from taking offence, I took it as an opportunity to show that lifestyle financial planning can be life changing for all the right reasons.

Some of the benefits of getting your house in order are:-

  • Establishing if you have enough funds to book that once in a lifetime travel trip
  • Seeing if you can change career and complete that course you'd always wanted to enrol for or apply for the job you’ve always dreamed of
  • Exploring to see as to whether you can pursue your passion
  • Working out when you can start to enjoy retirement

All far from boring as I’m sure you’ll agree.

So next time you are in the queue at the Post Office, have a little think about what good lifestyle financial planning can do to deliver you the life you’ve always wanted.
